Buckinghamshire Council Adult Learning

We offer interesting and exciting opportunities for adults to fulfil their ambitions, further their interests and achieve their potential through learning and training.
Our tutors are dedicated and passionate about their subjects. Classes allow you to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence in an environment where both tutors and learners offer support and encouragement.

Activities

A broad programme of over 1,500 part-time courses and workshops, delivered online and from 140 locations across Buckinghamshire, means we have something to suit everyone. Courses range from one-day to one-year and we cover beginner through to advanced levels, offering daytime and evening flexibility.

The Arts Society Beaconsfield

We are a lively group whose aims are to promote knowledge, and appreciation of decorative and fine arts through lectures, study groups, and guided visits to private houses, exhibitions and museums.

Activities

Under normal circumstances our lectures are held at the very comfortable Fitzwilliams Centre behind St Marys Church in Beaconsfield Old Town on the first Thursday of each month, except in January, August, and September. We have two sessions, a morning group which meets at 10.30, and an afternoon group which meets at 13.45 but we hope you can come earlier and join us for coffee beforehand to meet fellow members. We are pleased to hear from anyone interested in joining us. Currently we are in St Marys Church where social distancing is possible and if possible the morning lecture is streamed. Rotary Club of Beaconsfield

We meet on a regular basis and get involved in projects locally and internationally. Sometimes this involves simply helping out at an event or raising money, but we get regularly involved as a 'hands on' Club. It’s a chance to find out more about what goes on in your community.

We welcome people who want to get involved. Being a Rotarian is about having fun and helping others. Join us in making a difference. Festival of Lights

Simply Walk

Walking is a great way to get out and about and meet new people while improving your health and wellbeing. Simply Walkers are out in all weathers, smiling, talking and enjoying each others company.

Our volunteer-led walks run all year, with over 700 walkers who join us on one of over 80 walks across the county every week. Volunteer leaders are there to help you walk at your own pace, so there is no need to worry about being left behind, lost or feeling left out.

Activities

Most walks are weekly, but we also hold fortnightly and monthly walks at some locations.
