Reverend Michael Johnson – Trustee

Reverend Michael Johnson is Team Vicar with the Beaconsfield Anglican churches, based at St Thomas’ Holtspur.  His role there is focused on bringing the community together, connecting with and providing for those who are hard to reach, providing community space and hospitality, a place where people can discover a variety of services and access opportunities, offered by local voluntary and statutory groups, including the churches. 

His background in theatre is usually employed as a tool for community engagement.  He is the founder of Stage-Fright Theatre, a co-founder of Reading Dance Professionals Network, a trustee of Reside Dance company, runs regular theatre programmes for young people and enjoys producing community performances in unconventional spaces.  His first career was in a residential young homelessness project.  He has also worked for the YMCA and the National Exhibition Centre.
